Raipur: Health department will provide a complete package of angioplasty for patients of heart in Chhattisgarh government hospitals. In which hip and knee replacement ie knee transplant will also be free. Only 35 percent of the cost of surgery is being provided. Due to this, patients have to buy necessary equipment at their expense. The proposal to free the same package has been discussed with the responsible officials. An announcement will be made about this soon. Health department has fixed a package of 50 for angioplasty and 90-90 thousand for replacement of hip and knee.

Patients are getting only 35 percent of such a package. 17 thousand are received for angioplasty, that is, 33 thousand are being provided for hip and knee replacement. These funds are so low that patients have to buy many necessary equipment like implants, stents, rods, screws, artificial veins with their money, poor patients are not getting treatment. The benefit of the government's free scheme is not available. Top officers of the Health Department have started the process of change in this package. In addition to angioplasty, hip and knee replacement, brain angiography, fomentation and chemotherapy of cancer patients, cardio thoracic and vesicular surgery, neuro-surgery patients are also getting half-incomplete package of the government's free scheme.

In this scheme, 40 percent of the package of government hospital is going to the government's fund. That is, 25 percent of the doctors and paramedical staff are being distributed as incentives. After this, only 35 percent of the survivors are being given to patients. For this reason, patients are not getting full support. This problem is happening only in government hospitals. In private hospitals, patients are getting the complete package of the scheme. Neither 40 percent of the package there is going to the government's account nor doctors are being given separate incentives. For this reason, patients are getting full support. According to the information, the government has separated such surgeries and treatment which is available in the government hospital from the package of free treatment in private, preparations have been made to provide relief to the patients under this scheme.
