1. Unmukt Chand: If it is said that Unmukt Chand proved to be the biggest disappointment, then once will not be wrong. India won the 2012 Under-19 World Cup. He scored 246 runs at an average of 49.20 in the tournament, Unmukt scored 111 runs in the final, then the media of the whole country followed him. Unmukt began to be compared to Virat, he got many big advertisements, but the wheel of time turned around so that he got out of the Delhi Ranji ODI team, so he did not get an IPL contract last year.

2. Ritinder Singh Sodhi: This all-rounder of Pazab was a star in junior cricket. Ritinder excelled in both versions with bat and ball. In 1998, Ritinder scored a century against Kenya, then played a key role in winning the match by taking 3 wickets for 13 runs against Pakistan. In the year 2000, Ritinder made more impact and became the man of the match by scoring an unbeaten 39 against Sri Lanka in the final. Ritinder got a place in the senior team, but he could not leave the impact when Sourav was eyeing the youth. He averaged just 25.45 in 18 ODIs for India.

3. Narendra Hirwani: In the first World Cup of 1988, leg-spinner Narendra Hirwani came into prominence. Hirwani is a good example of missing out after a great start in the Junior World Cup or not getting great success. Hirwani took 21 wickets in 12 matches. 5 wickets were also included in a match. Later, Hirwani registered his name in history with 16 wickets in the first Test, but Hirwani, who took 66 wickets in 17 Tests, again lost in Anil Kumble's round.

4. Abhishek Sharma: Delhi leg-spinner Abhishek Sharma was another such player, who got the privilege of playing in two Under-19 World Cups (2002, 2004). At the same time, the visitors took the highest wickets for India in both the versions of the Junior World Cup, but they could not play a single match in the senior team. Before playing in the World Cup, Abhishek made his Ranji Trophy debut for Delhi at the age of just 16. In both World Cups, Abhishek was the highest wicket-taker and took a total of 26 wickets, but Abhishek's journey from Senior India was halted already.

5. Vijay Zol: Lefty batsman Vijay Zol made headlines at the national level by scoring 451 runs from just 467 balls in the Under-19 match. And they had very high expectations. At the age of 17, Vijay Zol became part of the under-19 team. Vijay Zol is also among the select Indian players who have the privilege of playing two Junior World Cups. After the 2012 World Cup, India was the captain of the junior team in 2014, but India lost in the quarterfinals. Zol averaged just 24 from 5 matches. Zol also got a chance to play for India A, but as he was expected of big innings, he did not get off his bat. The 25-year-old Vijay Zol has an average of 34.90 in 15 first-class matches.
