Bhopal: Single-use plastic is being banned across the country from today. In such a situation, orders have been issued by the Urban Development Department to ban single-use plastic in Madhya Pradesh also. Under this, many things made of plastic will stop being brought, including many things used in everyday life, which will no longer be seen. Because from today, single-use plastic will be banned in the entire state. Even after being banned, if anyone uses it, action will be taken against them.

The same urban development department issued an order saying that no single-use plastic will be used anywhere in the state. Instructions have been issued to all municipal commissioners and chief municipal officers. Even in the wedding ceremony, plastic plates will not be seen from today.  

All these materials including earbuds with plastic sticks, plastic sticks used in balloons, plastic flags, candy sticks, ice cream sticks, thermocol plates used in decorations, cups, glasses, forks, spoons, knives, stray, sweets boxes, packing films covering invitation letters/cigarette packets, plastic stickers, plastics with thickness less than 100 microns and banners of PVC will be banned. Instructions have also been issued for raids on builders, stockists, retailers and vendors to make the single-use plastic ban effective. Similarly, if even after the directions of the Government, single-use plastic is used anywhere, then strict action will be taken against them.
