Jaisalmer: Indian Railways is engaged in continuous development works for the convenience of the passengers. Now Indian Railways has decided to prepare Jaisalmer railway station like an airport. For this, the railways have made preparations. At present, Jaisalmer railway station is a two-floor station, it will now be made of three-floor. Apart from this, many modern facilities will also be expanded along with modern escalators and lifts.

Railway DRM Geetika Pandey said that after the transformation of the railway station, the plan for its commercial use will be worked out. He said that tenders have been taken for this. As per the Railway DRM, the work is expected to start in the month of October this year. This work may take up to two years to complete.

The same was waiting for a long time to modernize the railway station of Jaisalmer. The railway station should be on the same lines as the golden city, which is buzzing with tourists from all over the country and the world, its demand was for a long time. Preparations are being made to completely change the appearance of this station at a cost of Rs 148 crore. With this money, the station will be expanded as well as the development of platforms and other facilities from the entrance will be done here, which also includes escalators, stairs, lifts etc. This station is to be made three-storeyed and efforts will be made to provide all the facilities as are available in the airport.
