Three feared drowned in Chenab in Doda

Wednesday, a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into Chenab river in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir in which three persons, including a driver, were feared drowned.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Zahid Naseem Manhas said, the incident occurred arount 7:30 am. And the tipper, which was on its way to Doda from Thathri, skidded off the road and fell into Chenab at Karara. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Zahid Naseem Manhas.

he further added, "As of now we are not sure that how many people were in the vehicle at the time of accident. We started rescue operations at 8 AM and are trying our best to locate the tipper,"

He said divers have been called and an alert has been sounded along the river to locate those missing, including the driver.
