Thunderstorm in Gurugram, power outage overnight, water supply also affected

Gurugram: A thunderstorm in Gurugram's Millennium City, adjoining the national capital, late on Monday evening, caused a light outage in around 12 areas of the city. For about 10 hours, the power crisis deepened in these areas of the old and new city. Power supply could not be restored in these areas till 9 am on Tuesday. Along with this, there was also a drinking water crisis for here.

According to power corporation officials, trees were broken due to thunderstorms in many areas of the city. The trees broke down and fell on the electric wires due to which the power cut was faced. After receiving complaints throughout the night, the employees of the power corporation were also engaged in correcting the fault. The storm caused more than 50 feeder breakdowns of the power corporation. In sector-9, sector-82, etc., due to thunderstorm, the stomach was broken and fell on the electric wires. Due to this, the electric cables were also broken in many places.  

In many places, the lights also went off due to local faults. Power supply was affected in most parts of the city after the thunderstorm. Though power supply was restored in most of the areas due to the storm, the power outage was restored in most of the areas due to the stoppage of the storm, but in Sector-53, Sector-56, Sector-57, Sector-4, Sector-81, Sector-18, Sector-18, Sector-37, Sector-38, Sector-78, Sector-9, New Palam Vihar and Sushant Lok-1 and 2, the power was out for 10 hours.
