You always wanted a job that was perfect and dreamed about working hard to get that “ideal job”. But have you ever thought if that is the right career for you?
The market has a lot of options and choosing a career path (or changing one) is, for most of us, a confusing and anxiety-riddled experience. Many will tell you to “follow your passion” or “do what you love,” this isn’t a very useful advice.
-You should choose something that you love or you choose to love what you do.
-You need to have passion, you need to have that skill and values to do the job or choose the right job. If you feel you already have these qualities, this can be a good start. But sometimes you also take into consideration, what you choose provides a good motivational fit for you as well.
-You need natural talent, where certain tasks will be easy for you. You will notice that time passes by quickly, you enjoy what you do and you are appreciated for your talent and hard work. But if you do not like the job you’re in you start hating the work you do and you feel like time doesn’t move fast.
-The location also makes a difference when choosing the right career or job. If your workplace is far away from your home and you don’t mind traveling, you could consider that job. But if you’re going to crib about traveling all the time, it’s best you avoid such careers.
-If you deal with stress well like meeting important deadlines or important projects (being the glue that hold things together), you will do well in a high-stress job but if you panic look for more laid-back careers.
