New Delhi: Now having more than two weapons on a single arms license will be considered a crime. For this, strict action will be taken by the administration by filing a case under the Arms Act from Monday onwards. The Central Government made changes in the Arms Act on December 13, 2019, that only two arms on a license were declared valid.

The government had given a year time to surrender the third weapon. This period is being completed today. Accordingly, it will be illegal to keep a third weapon from Monday. It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Home Affairs made a change in the Arms Act in December 2019. In respect of which the notification was issued on 14 December 2019. According to which, no person can have more than two weapons. Earlier this limit was up to 3.

Those who had more than two weapons on one license had to deposit these weapons in their nearest police station. An extension of 1 year was given for this. This time period has been completed today. A case can be registered against the third weapon holder after Monday.
