India's Mirabai Chanu has won a big victory in the Olympics 2020 in Tokyo. Mirabai has won India her first silver medal in the women's 49 kg category of weightlifting. Mirabai is the second Indian weightlifter after Karnam Malleswari to win a medal for India. Karnam won india's bronze at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

Mirabai Chanu, 26, from Manipur, lifted a total of 202 kg (87 kg 115 kg) to finish second in the competition. Mirabai Chanu has been awarded the Padma Shri award and has also been the champion of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award. Mirabai's victory is being celebrated across India. Ordinary citizens as well as cinema stars are also wishing Mirabai Chanu through social media.
