Discussions on the Olympic qualifying arrangements for table tennis is not yet seen. Out of the 20 players, only three Commonwealth Games champions Sharat Kamal, Archana Kamath and Manav Thakkar have agreed to practice in Bengaluru. Other players including Manika Batra are not in favor of setting up national camp right now.

Due to this, the Sports Authority of India and Table Tennis Federation (TTFI) have decided to postpone the camp till the last week of September. Manika is practicing with a private coach in Pune. The rest of the players are also preparing in their native places.

Table Tennis Federation Secretary-General MP Singh says that ITTF guidelines will also come by next month, after that the players will be called for the camp. The Table Tennis Federation had proposed to the Sports Authority of India to set a camp at Abhay Prashal in Indore and a private academy in Delhi. Along with this, due to corona, many work interruptions have arisen, and its effect has been seen in sports too. Games were also banned for some time, but now slowly, it is becoming normal as before.
