Dhanbad: Bad news came on Tuesday night for Jharkhand's coal city Dhanbad. A major accident took place in Kol Nagari Dhanbad on Tuesday night. In Dhanbad, an under-construction bridge collapsed and four persons died after it collapsed. Several persons were also injured in the debris of the under-construction bridge.

As per the information received, the construction of a bridge between Pradhankhanta and Rakhitpur in Dhanbad is in progress. People also come and go from near this under-construction bridge. On Tuesday night, everything was normal. People were coming and going. In the meantime, there was a sudden accident on Tuesday night. A portion of the under-construction bridge fell to the ground.

There was debris everywhere on the spot. Hearing the loud noise, the people around them also rushed to the spot. People also immediately reported the incident to the police administration. A police team and rescue team also reached the spot. People buried in the debris of the bridge were evacuated and rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment where doctors declared four of them brought dead. No clear information has been received about the injured persons so far. Several persons are feared to be buried under the debris of the under-construction bridge. Rescue teams who rushed to the spot are engaged in relief and rescue operations. No information on the cause of the accident has been obtained so far.
