Dausa, Rajasthan – January 2, 2025: A devastating road accident on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan’s Dausa district left 45 passengers injured when a private bus collided with two trucks early Thursday morning. The trucks had already crashed into each other due to low visibility caused by dense fog, local police reported.

The incident occurred near Lahdi Ka Bas, a stretch of the expressway known for heavy traffic. According to Nangal-Rajawatan DSP Charul Gupta, the bus was carrying devotees traveling from Ujjain to Delhi. The dense fog significantly reduced visibility, leading to the collision.

Multiple Injuries and Emergency Response

The front section of the bus sustained severe damage in the accident, resulting in injuries to all 45 passengers on board. Over 20 individuals were rushed to the Dausa District Hospital for immediate treatment, while four critically injured passengers were referred to hospitals in Jaipur for specialized care. Others opted to continue to Noida and Delhi for medical assistance.

Medical Staff on High Alert

In response to the high number of casualties, District Hospital Chief Medical Officer Dr. Deepak Sharma deployed additional doctors and medical staff to manage the situation effectively. Emergency care units were on high alert to accommodate the influx of injured passengers.
