Tragic Road Accidents Claim 4 Lives Before Holi in Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow: Before the celebration of Holi, Uttar Pradesh witnessed two tragic road accidents resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries. In Rampur's Milak area, a truck rear-ended a tractor trolley, leading to the deaths of four individuals and injuries to a dozen others.

The incident occurred late Saturday night on the Dharampur village road, according to police sources. Authorities are actively pursuing the truck driver, who fled the scene after the collision. The victims have been identified as Kavita (18), Tinku Yadav alias Ravi (18), Ramwati (45), and Savitri (30). Reportedly, they were returning to Bareilly from Moradabad at the time of the accident. The injured individuals are currently receiving treatment in the hospital, with their condition reported as stable.

Additionally, just two days prior, another tragic road accident occurred in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, claiming the lives of three students. In the Ghatampur area of Kanpur, three polytechnic students were cycling to their morning studies when a roadways bus struck them from behind, resulting in their immediate demise.

The collision caused the bus to overturn, injuring passengers on board. Upon receiving information about the incident, police swiftly arrived at the scene, facilitating the rescue of bus passengers and transporting them to the hospital. The bodies of the deceased students were retrieved by the police and sent for post-mortem examination.
