Hyderabad: In connection with the implementation of EWS reservation, the CM has said that the government has been in the lieu of the reservation. Chandrashekhar Rao's decision has received good response from various organizations and groups. The state government has implemented 10 per cent reservation for the economically weaker section (EWS) in the state. It and Industry Minister K T Rama Rao (MSR) said the TRS government's goal was to provide equal opportunities to all sections of the society without discrimination.

Rama Rao, who spoke to his cabinet colleagues, TRS leaders and representatives of various organisations in Pragati Bhavan, assured him that the existing reservation would not be disturbed. "The EWS reservation would be beneficial for economically backward classes like Vaishya, Reddy, Velma, Kamma and Brahmin segregation among Hindus, Syed and Khan communities among Muslims and Marwari Jains," he said.

In a comprehensive family survey conducted in 2014, 51 per cent, 12 per cent ST, 10 per cent SC and 22 per cent of telangana state population are other associations.

He said the Centre recognized the achievements of the state government, including the recent supply of drinking water to 100 per cent of the state's households. "From birth to death, the state government will look after its citizens every step. It lists various welfare and development schemes that benefit every family in the state," he said.

Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Minister Erabelli Dayakar Rao said the Chief Minister's decision to give 10 per cent reservation to EWS in addition to the existing reservation stake was a commendable step. "Reservation for EWS will provide better education and employment opportunities for the poor in the upper castes," he said.
