Hyderabad: The list of leaders sitting in the Telangana Legislative Council hoping for vacant positions inside the Governor quota has now started moving forward. Some TRS leaders have started efforts at their level for the blessings of party supremo and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
The Legislative Council with a total of 40 members has a total of 6 seats under the governor quota. Two of these seats are already vacant. Before the appointment of Ramulu Nayak, who was elected to the Legislative Council in Governor Kota, in the year 2018, TRS suspended him. His term has ended in March this year. In the same way, earlier, the tenure of former minister Naini Narasimha Reddy, who was nominated for the Legislative Council in Governor Kota, has also ended on June 19.
The tenure of Karne Prabhakar, who was the whip of the government in the Legislative Council, is ready to end on August 17. It is being told that now TRS leaders have started the initiative to get their vacancies in the Governor's quota. Now it is going to be very interesting to see who is going to get the vacant post.
