Hyderabad: Addressing a meeting organized by minority leaders of the Congress party, former minister and former leader of opposition in Telangana Legislative Council Mohammad Ali Shabbir said on Saturday that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has disabled all institutions related to the welfare of minorities. Gave. “KCR betrayed Muslims on the promise of 12% reservation and judicial powers to the Waqf Board. 

TRS leaders often talk about Shaadi Mubarak and minority residential schools, to claim that the KCR government was pro-minority. Both schemes were originally started by the previous Congress government during 2006-08. The TRS government changed their name only by increasing the allocation. However, the number of beneficiaries was much higher during the Congress rule as compared to the present TRS government. He said that CM KCR appointed Deputy Chancellor and neglected minorities in Telangana Public Service Commission. 

He said that around 80% Muslims come under BC-E category. However, no Muslim member has been appointed in BC Commission. He said That all minority bodies including Minorities Finance Commission, Urdu Academy and Haj House are headless at present. Those institutions have no funds, no manpower or even a body to carry out their activities.
