Twitter shows J&K to be part of 'China', users complain to Modi govt

New Delhi: During the live broadcast of Twitter India's Union territory Jammu and Kashmir was described as part of China during the live broadcast. The outrage of the Indian people against this big Twitter mistake has been sparked on social media. Thereafter, people have complained to the center's Modi government minister Jaishankar Prasad in a tweet on the issue.

People have demanded action against Twitter over the mistake from the Narendra Modi government. People using social media complain that in twitter's Hall of Fame feature, the location of Leh is showing 'Jammu and Kashmir, the People's Republic of China'. In a tweet, Nitin Gokhale, a journalist, also shared the information and said that once again the Twitter feature was tested, the location is showing 'Jammu and Kashmir, the People's Republic of China'.

Thereafter, Gokhale also shared the screenshot on social media and complained to the Ministry of the Government of India concerned. In this case, Twitter has said that we got information about this technical defect on Sunday. We understand and respect its sensitivity. The location mistake has been removed by our team immediately, though Twitter has not apologized for this mistake.
