Kolkata: These days, terrorist activities are increasing in the country, and reports of terrorists being caught from every corner of the country are coming out. In such a situation, the big question is arising, where have such a large number of terrorists come from, or are the people here becoming terrorists blindly in religious fundamentalism? However, action against terror is also going on across the country. In this sequence, the Special Task Force (STF) unit of West Bengal Police on Wednesday arrested two suspected members of the banned terrorist organization Al-Qaeda from Kharibari in the Government Police Station area.

The arrested suspects could be active members of the banned terror outfit Al-Qaeda in the Indian Sub-Continent (AQIS). According to the information, the STF detained both of them at around 8 pm on Wednesday. STF sources said those detained have been identified as Abdur Rakib Sarkar, a resident of Gangarampur, South Dinajpur district, and Qazi Ahsan Ullah, a resident of Arambagh in Hooghly district.

The STF of West Bengal Police has claimed that several jihadi literature teaching to wage war against India and non-Muslims has been seized from their possession. A specific case is being registered against the two detained accused under various sections of UAPA and IPC and the name of another 17 FIRs has come up during the interrogation so far.
