West Bengal government has decided to set up two circuit benches in Siliguri and Asansol to help redressal of consumers' grievances. Today,in the State Assembly,amid the question hour session the Consumer Affairs Minister Sadhan Pandey said, “the two circuit benches would help consumers staying there and in adjacent areas"

He further added,”Consumer assistance bureau would also be set up in each district. Each bureau would have a lawyer for helping consumers and the department would provide the finance”

“This proposal has been taken keeping the poor people in mind”,he said.
