Hyderabad, In an tragic incident, the roof of an under-construction building collapsed on labourers in the wee hours today at Hussaini Alam area.

Two labourers were killed in an incident.

According to Hussaini Alam Police Station Inspector G Shyamsundar, The incident occurred at around 1.20 AM when the slab of the second floor of the building suddenly collapsed resulting in eight workers getting trapped under the debris. While six of them managed to get out two remain buried.

The deceased were identified as Venkataiah and Ananda, belonging to Mahabubnagar district of Telangana.

A GHMC official, said that the site where the construction was going was under dispute and a court case was going on in this regard.

"We are verifying if necessary permission was taken or not for construction of the building and based on it action will be initiated against those responsible," the GHMC official said.
