Manchhariyal: Two persons were arrested in Sarjapur village of Kannepalli mandal on Wednesday evening.

One of the two arrested is Ganna Ashok and the other is Gundala Chiranjeevi, said Daroga Prashant Reddy of Kannepalli. Ashok is a tractor driver living in Ghantpur village in Nennan mandal while Chiranjeevi is a rickshaw driver in Jaganampalli village in Kannepalli mandal.

According to the information, when the police attacked, two young men were cock-fighting for entertainment during Sankranti and bet on 1,000 to 10 thousand chickens.

Prior to this incident, chickens are purchased at high prices and trained to fight. Cashew nuts and cultivation are a special nutrient for chickens. They also pay special attention to their upbringing.
