Mumbai: Recently the Mahavikas Aghadi government led by Uddhav Thackeray will prove its majority in the Assembly on Saturday. In the House of 288 members, Shiv Sena has 56 MLAs, NCP has 54 and Congress has 44 MLAs. Thus the coalition has the support of a total of 154 MLAs, while the magic figure is 145. Meanwhile, before the majority test, Aghadi has replaced BJP's Kalidas Columbkar from Protem Speaker and made NCP's Dilip Valsay Patil the new Protem Speaker. Amid the political upheaval, on Tuesday, Aghadi demonstrated the power to BJP and the public, claiming the support of 162 legislators at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai. Mahavikas Aghadi is also claiming the support of some independents. BJP has 105 members in the House and is the largest party as a party.
