Mumbai: Chief of the Shiv Sena government  CM Uddhav Thackeray has said that even though he has got new allies in the politics, he has not changed his 'saffron' color. Thackeray, who has been raising the issue of Hindutva since the beginning, broke away from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and formed a government in alliance with the National Congress Party (NCP) and the Congress after the Assembly elections last year.

Shiv Sena honored Uddhav Thackeray and said that he has fulfilled his promise given to the founder of the party, Bal Thackeray, in which he had talked about making Shiv Sena CM in the state. Responding to the criticism of bypassing Hindutva for power, Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray said, 'I have adopted a new political path by allying the old political rivals. I have not changed my color. It will remain saffron.

Uddhav Thackeray's remarks come after the statement by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray in which he said, 'I don't change the color of my party to form the government'. Let me tell you that recently Raj Thackeray has also saffroned his party flag and changed his slogan too.
