London: Even as the country's Covid-19 alert level was elevated to “Level four” (Level four means a high or rising level of transmission) due to the emergence of the super mutant strain of the lethal virus, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson warned that the country will face a "tidal wave" of Covid's Omicron variant.

Johnson declared a "Omicron emergency" and set a new booster target: the third doses will be available to everyone over the age of 18 in England starting this week, three months after their second dose.
