KIEV: NATO countries are not ready to discuss including Ukraine in the organisation, but Kiev is now willing to discuss "some non-NATO models," an official said.
"The NATO countries' response has been that they are not ready to even discuss having us in NATO, at least not for the next five or ten years. We would not fight for NATO applications; we would fight for the outcome rather than the process ", David Arakhamia, a member of the Ukrainian delegation for talks with Russia, told Fox News on Sunday.
"We're ready to talk about some non-NATO models... We are willing to discuss such issues in a broader context, not just with Russia, but also with other partners "Arakhamia elaborated.
In the midst of the ongoing conflict, Ukraine and Russia held two rounds of talks on February 28 and March 3, and the third round is expected to take place on Monday.
