Hydrabad: G Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister for Tourism, met with BJP Telangana unit president and MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday at a jail in Karimnagar, where the latter was detained after a foiled protest. At the Karimnagar district jail, Kishan Reddy paid a visit to Kumar and other BJP officials who had been arrested.

According to Kishan Reddy, Kumar and others were "illegally charged and arrested." "Sri Sanjay garu and others are unafraid, and we're all determined to oppose KCR's brutal reign," he tweeted.

Kumar's apartment and the camp office, where he was arrested by police on Sunday night, were also visited by Kishan Reddy.Following his detention after a botched protest plan, Sanjay Kumar was sentenced to a 14-day judicial remand on Monday, with the BJP's national leadership calling the police action "death of democracy." Kumar, a Lok Sabha member from Karimnagar, was arrested on Sunday night as he prepared to participate in a 'Jagarana' protest, a night vigil, in support of teachers and other government personnel who were protesting a state government decision.

Kumar claimed that the order harmed the interests of teachers and others who were awaiting transfers.
