Dehradun: Many works that were closed due to corona are now being started slowly. Meanwhile, in Uttarakhand, preparations are made to open the bars in hotels and restaurants under unlock-4. For this, guidelines have been issued to all the District Excise Officers. Under these guidelines, it has been said that they will be able to operate the bar only after getting the permission of the collector. The Excise Commissioner has asked the District Excise Officers to seek guidance from the concerned collectors.

While opening and operating the bars, owners have been asked to follow the guidelines of Unlock-4. All bars and club bars will operate outside the Containment Zone. No alcohol will be offered to any customer at the bar counter. Nor will there be arrangements for sitting. Cleanliness inside and outside the premises of the licensed bar is a must. It will also be mandatory for the entire staff working in the bar to wear face masks and hand gloves.

The temperature of each customer entering the bar will be checked with an infrared thermometer. People with higher than normal temperatures will not be allowed to enter the bar. The bar will have seating arrangements up to 50 per cent of the total seating capacity. Also, the social distance will have to be strictly followed. There is no restriction on the opening of bars in the state. Now unlock-four has started. It will be mandatory to strictly follow all the guidelines.
