Lucknow: A shocking revelation has been made into the road accident of the Unnao rape victim. According to police, the truck that hit the rape victim's car belonged to Devendra Pal, elder brother of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Nandu Pal. Devendra Pal's house on Fatehpur's jail road is locked after the road accident. Devendra Pal is said to be a resident of Muttor village under the Lalauli police station area. Their search has been started.

The truck driver is a resident of Fatehpur district. Devendra Kishore Pal, a resident of Lalauli, has several trucks. They are said to have been in the truck business for quite some time. They also had a Dhaba in Lalauli, which has now been closed. SLB is written on trucks. The accused driver Amit Pal has been driving Devendra Kishore Pal's truck for nearly two years. Devendra Kishore's sister-in-law has been the head of the Bahia block. Devendra's wife is also a prince from Lalauli. The entire family is said to be associated with the SP.

Police have registered an FIR against BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar, his brother Manoj Sengar and eight others in a road accident case. The Unnao rape victim and her lawyer were seriously injured in the incident while two female relatives of the victim were killed in the incident. The police have registered the case on the basis of a complaint filed by Mahesh Singh, the uncle of the rape victim, who is lodged in Rae Bareli jail.
