According to police, the truck that hit the rape victim's car belonged to Devendra Pal, elder brother of Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Nandu Pal. Devendra Pal's house on Fatehpur's jail road is locked after the road accident. Devendra Pal is said to be a resident of Muttor village under the Lalauli police station area.
