UNSC on Karachi attack, says "Every act of terrorism is a crime, whatever the motive is"

Geneva: The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi. In this terrorist attack on June 29, 11 people including 4 terrorists lost their lives. The UNSC said that terrorism in any form is a threat to international peace and security, members of the Security Council said that every form of terrorism should be severely criticized and is a serious threat to the world.

The Security Council reiterated that all acts of terrorism are criminal and cannot be forgiven. The Security Council said that it does not matter what the purpose of this act is, who has done it and when. The Security Council said that all the countries of the world fought terrorism in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations and other international laws by all means available with them.

This statement of the Security Council is a strong message for Pakistan, linking the violence of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir with the alleged freedom fight. The Security Council has made it clear that terror is only terror and it cannot be legitimized on the basis of its purpose. The Security Council expressed its deepest condolences to the families of those killed in this terrorist attack and wished the people injured in this attack to recover soon.
