Notorious gangster Vinay Shrotriya shot dead in a Police encounter

Lucknow: Vinay Shrotriya, a criminal who escaped from police custody in Agra, Uttar Pradesh in July 2022, has been killed in an encounter by the UP STF. A reward of Rs 50,000 was also announced on Vinay Shrotriya. There were more than 43 cases registered against him. The encounter took place in Agra's Sikandara police station area.  

According to the information received, during the encounter between STF and Vinay Shrotriya, several rounds of bullets were fired from both sides. Vinay Shrotriya, who suffered bullet injuries, was taken to the police hospital, where doctors declared him dead. According to the police, Vinay Shrotriya alias Vinay Sharma's father's name is Dinesh Shrotriya. He was a resident of Rupaspur in Police Station Linepar of Firozabad.

Police said Vinay Shrotriya was a notorious criminal. He had formed an organized gang which was extremely active. Vinay Shrotriya's gang used to carry out robberies continuously. Vinay had more than 43 cases registered against him in Firozabad, Agra under serious sections like attempt to murder and robbery. The Agra police had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 on Vinay Shrotriya, who was on the run in the case lodged at The New Agra Police Station.
