Kanpur: A tragic accident occurred in Kannauj town of UP on Saturday morning. The driver and helper of the bus have died while several passengers, who have been admitted to the hospital, have been rushed to the hospital and the police have started an investigation. The incident occurred near the Machaiya of Thana Talagram on Agra Lucknow Expressway. The truck, which was heading towards Agra at 5 a.m. on Saturday, rammed into an uncontrollable double-decker bus.

In the incident, two persons including the driver died at the site. Several passengers were injured who were sent to Medical College Tirwa by UPEDA NCC. Lucknow Reserve Police Line Mahmudabad resident driver Manish Tewari son Ramsaran has been confirmed dead in the incident. The helper's name has not yet been received and there were about 70 passengers in the bus. The driver is said to be in a nap which caused the accident. The entire case is now being investigated by the police.

On the other hand, five more patients died on Friday from Corona in Kanpur city of the state. The investigation revealed 420 new infections. The number of infections has increased to 19450. The death toll has gone up to 516. After treatment, 46 patients were discharged from the hospital. The number of patients discharged has increased to 5373. 287 patients completed the home isolation period. The number of such patients has gone up to 8862. There are 4699 active cases.
