Lucknow: The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has issued a major order to the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh over the incident that took place two years ago in Hathras. The court has ordered that a member of the family of the Hathras victim be given a job in a government or a government undertaking within three months. The high court said the state government had made a promise to the victim's family and the government should fulfil it.

It may be mentioned that the state government had assured on September 30, 2020, that one of the victim's family members would be provided with a Group C level government job. A two-judge bench of Justices Rajan Roy and Jaspreet Singh in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court on Tuesday passed the order asking the government to make arrangements for the settlement of the victim's family outside Hathras within six months.

In fact, two years ago, a girl was allegedly raped by four men in the state's Hathras district and then she died in Delhi during treatment. The police also cremated the body without the family's permission. After which the matter had taken a toll and the state government was furious. After this, the state government handed over the investigation to the CBI. At the same time, the state government had also promised a job to the victim's family.
