Lucknow: Ahead of the last phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh, the political heat in the state is on the rise. In Azamgarh, a clash broke out between the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the AIMIM leader. A complaint has been lodged at Kotwali police station by AIMIM leader Shah Alam. He has accused mubarak's MLA of SP of assaulting him by consuming alcohol. Police say the case is being investigated. 54 assembly seats in nine districts of UP will go to polls on Monday under the seventh and final phase of elections. State Chief Electoral Officer Ajay Kumar Shukla said that 54 assembly constituencies of Varanasi, Chandauli, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Robertsganj, Ghazipur, Mau, Azamgarh and Jaunpur districts are going to polls in the seventh phase and preparations have been completed.
