LUCKNOW: The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has devised a time-bound strategy for transforming the state's health care system.

Chief Minister Yogi Aidtyanath has made health one of his top priorities, and he has urged health officials to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that people have access to high-quality healthcare.

According to a state government spokesman, the health administration plans to equalise the doctor-to-nurse ratio in the next two years by creating more nurse positions. Doctors currently outnumber nurses in the state, with the latter's sanctioned positions being half those of doctors. Doctors and nurses have been assigned 19,011 and 9,569 positions, respectively.

Furthermore, the state government intends to construct world-class hospitals along international and interstate boundaries so that residents on both sides can benefit.
The Yogi government also plans to construct seven 50-bed hospitals in the districts of Lucknow, Gorakhpur, and Ghaziabad, as well as 25 primary health centres in Varanasi, Ghazipur, Meerut, and Mirzapur, and 23 community health facilities in Gorakhpur, Pratapgarh, and Ghazipur, according to the spokesman.

In addition, the Ayushman Bharat Scheme aims to give health insurance coverage to vehicle drivers, health 'sakhis,' and Anganwadi employees.
