New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has refused to grant relief to the real estate businessmen Ansal brothers in the case of tampering of documents in the Uphaar fire case. In fact, the High Court has rejected the demand to release the convicts Sushil Ansal and Gopal Ansal from jail on bail by suspending their sentences.

Last month, the court had reserved its decision after hearing all the parties. Earlier, the convicts had demanded suspension of sentence from the high court and release them on bail. On the other hand, the Delhi Police and Uphaar Fire Victims Association had demanded the court not to suspend the sentence, opposing the plea of ​​the convicts. Justice S. Pradas, while rejecting the petition of the Ansal brothers, said that the sentence cannot be suspended right now.

Let us inform that the Ansal brothers, Sushil Ansal and Gopal and others, who are serving a sentence in jail, have been convicted and sentenced to 7 years imprisonment by the lower court. The sessions court had refused to suspend the sentence of the convicts and release them on bail. Against this the convicts have filed a petition in the High Court.
