Among the chosen candidates, 178 have been earmarked for civil engineering roles, 46 for mechanical engineering, 64 for electrical engineering, and 113 for electronics and telecommunication engineering.

The UPSC ESE written examination took place in June 2023, followed by the Personality Test interviews held from September to November 2023. Successful candidates are now in contention for appointments to various positions within the concerned Ministries or Departments.

Registration commenced on September 26, 2023, with the application window open from September 6 to September 26, 2023. The UPSC ESE Prelims 2024 are scheduled for February 18, 2024. Three weeks before the examination, the commission will release e-admission certificates.
