Ghaziabad: A woman, who was on the run in connection with the murder of her husband to hide her illicit relationship, has been arrested by the police in Khoda police station area of Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh. The woman is accused of killing her husband along with her lover. The woman and her boyfriend had been on the run since the night of May 16. Khoda police station in-charge Yogendra Malik said that on May 16, Arun, a resident of Bharat Nagar Khoda, was found dead outside his house under suspicious circumstances.

In this case, Arun's brother-in-law had lodged a complaint at Khoda police station on May 24, suspecting murder. After this, the police got some suspicion on Arun's wife in the investigation. In the meantime, she fled with her boyfriend. When the police questioned Arun's wife, who was arrested on Saturday, she said that she was having an affair with her man living in her neighbourhood. Both of them, along with their lovers, strangled Arun to death. The accused wife told the police that her husband earlier worked as a labourer in a cosmetic company in Delhi.

A few days ago, the husband had started a cosmetic goods shop near his house, due to which he stopped meeting his lover. She said that earlier she used to secretly meet her boyfriend as soon as her husband went to work, but now the husband was suspicious of her illicit relationship and was about to sell the house bought in his wife's name, which the wife was opposing. On the night of May 15, the wife, along with her lover Rajesh, strangled her husband to death. After this, she put the body in the gallery of her house with the intention of making the murder an accident and informed the people in the morning about her husband's death.
