Fake call center busted in Noida, many Kashmiri youth-woman arrested

Noida: The UP ATS team has arrested several people on Tuesday while raiding a fake call center located in Sector-63 of Noida. The Kashmiri youth are said to be among those arrested. According to the information received, the UP ATS raid a fake call center running in the BSI building located in Sector-63 during a joint operation with Noida Police on Tuesday morning. During the raids, the ATS has arrested Kashmiri youths working there.

Soon after getting the information about the raid, DCP Harish Chandra of Noida has also reached the spot. The ATS team is also inside for more than 2 hours. It is being told that the police is also investigating the records of the call center along with questioning those taken into custody. However, no official information about the raids by the police or ATS has been shared with the media. Police have kept the building home from all four sides.

According to the media report, through this call center, attractive offers of grocery gifts were being made by calling people with the name of Best Star Departmental Store. In addition, foreign calls were also transferred to Indian customers. Due to this, the government was losing revenue of about 20 lakh rupees every month. This fake call center operator is a resident of Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir. Under the guise of this call center, he used to transfer foreign calls illegally across the country.
