Lucknow: A case of an 18-year-old girl from Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur district being forcibly married off after her kidnap and conversion has come to light. The victim had earlier filed a case of kidnapping and then on the complaint of the girl's father, a case of forcible conversion and marriage has also been registered in the police station. After registering a case in several sections, the police have arrested the accused and sent him to jail and are investigating the case.
The case pertains to a branch village under the Ghazipur police station area of Fatehpur district. It is alleged that 24-year-old Mirza Sabir had kidnapped 18-year-old Madhubala, a resident of Jukar village, in broad daylight on March 31. On the complaint of the victim's father, the police registered a case and started looking for the girl. However, after some time, the victim got rid of the clutches of the accused and returned home and narrated the entire incident to her father. The victim told her father that the youth took her to a mosque in the Banda district. Where she was forcibly converted into a Muslim, then married to him, but she somehow got rid of his clutches and came back home. After which the girl's father reached the police station and gave a written complaint about the forcible conversion and nikah. The police swung into action and arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
At the same time, CO Jafarganj Anil Kumar has said that a complaint was given by Subhash Singh of Ghazipur police station area that his daughter was lured away by a youth. The victim was later recovered, after which information was received that an attempt was also made to get her converted. At the same time, she was also threatened. In this regard, the accused Mirza Sabir has been arrested and sent to jail and further action is going on in the case.
