Meerut: In Uttar Pradesh, one person was killed when a current landed in an iron door with an electric wire in Anchi Khurd village under Thana Parikshitgarh area of Meerut district on Monday morning. Two sons who came to his rescue also died tragically due to electrocution.

According to police information, an electric meter is installed on the main door of Purnagiri (45) house in Village Anchi Khurd. Police said that due to incessant rain since Sunday night, the wire of the main line broke due to short circuit and touched the iron door, causing current in the gate. Purnagiri was hit by the current when he went to open the gate on Monday morning.

According to police information, Nikhil Giri (21) and Ashutosh (18), who had gone to save their father, were also hit by the current. All three died on the spot. According to police, two animals tied near the main door were also killed in the incident when they were hit by a current. The entire village has been mourned after the tragic incident.
