4 arrested, including Maulana for shouting 'Pakistan Zindabad' slogans on Eid

Kannauj: Four fundamentalists, including maulana, have been arrested after a case of slogans of 'Pakistan Zindabad' was raised on the occasion of Eid in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh. Police took the step after the video of the incident went viral on social media. In fact, while these fundamentalists were shouting anti-national slogans, someone made a video of it from inside his house and posted it on social media. The video clearly hears slogans of "Pakistan Zindabad".

The incident took place in Jalalabad town of Gursahaiganj Kotwali area of Kannauj where some people gathered at Imam Chowk a day before seeing the moon of Eid raised slogans in support of Pakistan. On the orders of the Superintendent of Police of the district, the police arrested Jalalabad residents Salman, Shahid, Meraj alias Chhotu from their house. Imam Mohammad Afzal resident Village Fatehpur thana Musanagar district Kanpur Dehat was also nabbed by profession from his residence while search is on for the rest.

Police have registered a case under sections 153 (B) and 505 (2) against all of them. The four arrested accused were sent to jail on Tuesday (May 18). Inspector-in-charge Raja Dinesh Singh has said that 10 unidentified persons have also been booked in the case. Efforts are being made to nab them.
