Kanpur violence: 50 arrested so far, posters were printed by Zafar Hayat to incite riots

Lucknow: The Yogi government's crackdown in the state after the Kanpur violence has shown the path directly to the police station to the stone-pelting accused. After the release of posters of 40 rioters a day ago, so far, one minor accused has surrendered and two have already been arrested. The police had released the photographs of the 40 accused after searching for all the evidence, including CCTV. As the investigation progresses, the layers of Kanpur violence are constantly opening up. The conspiracy is being busted by WhatsApp chats. 

How the pot was attacked with stones, bombs were prepared by filling petrol in bottles and posters were printed inviting them to come out in protest. The police have also arrested the person who printed the poster. Nikhil, the nephew of Shankar, the owner of the printing press, said, "I don't know Hayat Zafar, but some people came with a pen drive and said take out ten-twenty printouts, take out the print out on A4-size paper, we had no idea that these people were planning a riot, Both Shankar and I were doing our job, it is our livelihood, if printing is a crime, then we can't say anything, put us inside too.''

Talking to the media, Kanpur District Magistrate Neha Sharma said that so far 50 people have been arrested and we are identifying people in the CCTV footage. With this, Kanpur development authority will take action on illegal constructions, many complaints of irregularities have been received and we will take action on it.
