Lucknow: An 11-year-old Hindu girl was allegedly raped in Uttar Pradesh's Siddharthnagar district, police said on Saturday. The allegation of this heinous crime has been levelled against an elderly man of a Muslim community in the village itself. The BJP MLA has demanded strict action against the accused. Police have registered a case and started an investigation. The incident took place on Thursday (October 20, 2022). According to the information received, this incident took place in the Trilokpur police station area.  

The victim's mother has lodged a complaint with the police. According to the complaint, the victim studies in a local school. On the day of the incident, when she had gone next to the school to relieve herself at around 11 am. It is alleged that during this time, 60-year-old Wali Mohammad of Pratappur Mathiya village lured the daughter and took her to a shelter and raped her. According to the report, during this time some people of the village saw Wali Ahmed. He reported the matter to the victim's mother. Siddharthnagar police said that legal action is being taken by registering an FIR in the case.

Satish Dwivedi, a former BJP MLA from Itwa in Siddharthnagar, visited the victim's family in the village. During this time, he asked the police to take strict action against the accused. He said that there is a Yogi Adityanath government in the state and no legal mercy will be shown against the miscreants.
