Lucknow: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has opened 13 mehndi centres for women on the occasion of Karva Chauth in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. This step has been taken by VHP to keep Hindu women safe from love jihad. VHP believes that Hindu women are attracted by Muslim youth on occasions like Karva Chauth. In such a situation, if a separate centre is opened, then such a situation will not arise.

According to the report, Mehndi Centers have been set up in 13 different places of Muzaffarnagar. Congratulating Karva Chauth in the posters, it has been said that on this holy occasion, get mehndi from those who celebrate this festival. Our festival, Our employment- attack on jihad. In this regard, the department head of the organization, Lalit Maheshwari has said that 'This is our first effort so that only our girls apply mehndi in the centre and money also goes to the society. This step will weaken the fundamentalists and Hindu girls will be freed from conversion, migration.'

Maheshwari has further said that 'We have told the girls that you come to apply mehndi. More girls are coming. Women of the society have also been asked to come to these centres to get mehndi applied. The department head of VHP expresses concern that the cases of love jihad are increasing nowadays, which is the goal of VHP and Bajrang Dal to stop. The organization has received support from Hindu society in this initiative. 13 centres have been set up so that women do not have to travel far.
