In a bid to improve farmer’s income in particular and improving the efficiency of the agriculture sector in general, the Uttar Pradesh Yogi-led government is planning to promote digitalization in Agriculture and offer proactive and personalized services to the farmers in the state.

Accordingly, a plan has been prepared which will soon be implemented in Mathura, Mainpuri & Hathras districts of the state. In addition, for smart and well-organized agriculture, the map of respective lands will also be digitized.  The data of all farmers in around 10 villages of the districts will be collected in which details of the land of the farmers will be added. The government is also making efforts for introducing proper marketing channels for farm produce.

Along with engaging farmers with the government welfare schemes, personalized services to farmers such as soil and plant health advisories, fertilizers and pesticide-related information, real-time weather advisories, irrigation facilities, seeds,  logistic facilities and market access information will also be made

As per instructions issued by the government, a nodal officer must be appointed for smooth execution of the same. The work of preparing the database will be completed by coordinating with officials of Government of India & Delhi.
