The drug crisis can deepen in the mountainous regions of Garhwal and Kumaon in Uttarakhand. Vehicles engaged in drug supply are not able to get pass. At the same time, according to wholesale drug dealers, e-passes are not being issued to vehicles even after many applications. Along with this, most of the medicines are supplied from Dehradun in the hill and Kumaon region of Garhwal. At the same time, clearing and forwarding (C&F) agents are in Dehradun itself. From there, medicines are transported through transport vehicles, but the supply of medicines is almost at a standstill for the last few days. The drug dealers say that their drug vehicles are stranded due to lack of pass.

Along with this, vehicles going to Garhwal and Kumaon are also not getting e-passes. Manish Nanda, president of Holcel Chemists Association, said that many times applied to the online system, but each time the application was rejected. Due to this, vehicles delivering medicines in the mountain are not able to get out of Dehradun. At the same time, he told that his truck has been booked since March 20 in Ghaziabad. It was supposed to come with medicines and other goods, but till date it has not been allowed to walk. Vehicles passing through other states are facing a lot of problems. Most wholesale sellers keep excess stock with them.

For your information, let us tell you that the capital drug dealers have enough stock of wholesale drugs, but if not supplied soon, this stock can also be exhausted. In this regard, I had a conversation with the officials of the district administration, while the district administration directed that vehicles engaged in drug supply have to be mentioned in the application. Due to this, the vehicles going to the mountain will not have any problem. Our medicine carts are not coming from other states. Trains are not getting permission. For this, a letter will be sent to the Central Government requesting permission to the trains.
