Subedar Yamuna Prasad Paneru, a resident of Haldwani of Uttarakhand, martyred in Kupwara, was cremated with military honors at Chitrashila Ghat in Ranibagh today. During this time, the whole village resonated with slogans of 'Shaheed Yamuna Amar Rahe'. The entire village along with the family members bid farewell to the martyr with moist eyes. At the funeral of the martyr, Kabina Minister Yashpal Arya, MLA Ramsingh Kaida, DM Savin Bansal, SSP Sunil Kumar Meena, SDM Vivek Roy, Station Commander Colonel Amit Mohan, Including several army officers were present.

Earlier, BJP State President Banshidhar Bhagat, Education Minister Arvind Pandey, MLA Naveen Dumka reached the martyr's house and paid floral tributes after reaching home. Army soldiers paid tribute to the martyr at Army Ground. After this, the body was transported by road to his house. Subedar Yamuna was martyred during patrolling in Kupwara, Jammu, and Kashmir on Thursday morning. He was posted in the Gurez sector of Kupwara.

Yamuna Prasad Paneru (39) son, originally resident of Padampur Meadar village in Okhalkanda block.
