Live Updates: Uttarkashi Rescue - 15 Workers Saved from Collapsed Site as CM Dhami Arrives at Silkyara Tunnel

The ongoing rescue efforts to free the 41 workers trapped within the collapsed Silkyara tunnel have entered their final phase today. Rescuers successfully completed drilling through the debris, allowing the evacuation of 15 workers thus far. Medical teams are presently assessing the health of those rescued, while Union Minister of State VK Singh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami are engaging with the workers, as per Dainik Jagran.

CM Dhami earlier confirmed the completion of pipe laying through the rubble at Silkyara tunnel. This development brings hope that the workers, trapped for 16 days, will soon be brought to safety. The breakthrough in the 60-meter section of debris within the tunnel was achieved today using rat-hole mining techniques. The tunnel caved in on November 12, leaving 41 workers stranded inside, unable to exit.
