Banaras: 23 cities in Uttar Pradesh have been flooded due to rain in the mountains. Ganga-Yamuna in Banaras is in full swing these days. The people have to enter the water and take the bodies to the ghats. The ganga's rough lying people are carrying the bodies in boats to the ghats. The last rites are being performed on the roof of the ghat due to waterlogging everywhere. On the other hand, wood is also being transported by boat for cremation. It is customary that salvation is attained in the land of Kashi. That is why people from all over the country and abroad reach the land of Banaras. But these days the city is reeling under the fury of floods.

Many of the same South Indian families have reached Banaras these days, but they are very upset to see the water everywhere. They are also having a lot of problems visiting Kashi. Due to floods, the families who came to Kashi for the first time could not see the ghats of Banaras nor join the Ganga Aarti. On the other hand, people in Banaras say that no one can stop the rough form of Ganga. Local residents say Ganga water fills houses here every year. The people have got used to it, so nobody has any problem. The water level of Ganga has reached close to the danger mark.
