Andhra Pradesh: Addressing a press conference at the party's central office in Amaravati here on Tuesday, the MLA said that TDP leaders are hiding facts and misleading people through partisan information. Mylavaram MLA Vasanth Krishna Prasad criticized TDP leaders for spreading misinformation about the maintenance of roads.Said that the roads were damaged due to the negligence of Chandrababu Naidu during the previous government. 

He said that the state government has constructed 1,883 km of bitumen road at an average rate of 942 km per year in the last two years after YSRCP came to power and added that the YSRCP government has done an average of 4,015 km widening and repair work.2,000 km per year in the last two years.

He said the previous government had constructed 1,356 km of new bitumen road during its five-year rule at an average rate of 271.2 km per annum and 8,917 km of new road with widening at an average of 1,783 km per year.The MLA said that the roads got damaged due to the damage.It rained heavily after YSRCP came to power and these will be repaired after the monsoon is over.He said that the state government has already spent Rs 7,828 crore. The construction of 9,557 km of roads has been approved and the tender process is nearing completion.
